Invoice sync troubleshooting checklist

When an invoice does not reach the tax authority, a few quick checks usually fix it. Your invoice is never lost, and you stay in control of every retry.

Reading the integration status

The Integration column on Invoices shows where each invoice stands:

  • Pending: being sent to the tax authority.
  • Registered: accepted. Nothing else to do.
  • Failed: not accepted yet. The invoice stays in Draft and gets its number once registration succeeds.
  • Annulment Pending, Annulled, or Annulment Failed: the progress of an annulment you requested.

Retrying a failed invoice

  1. Fix the cause first, using the checklist below.
  2. Open the invoice's actions menu and select Retry Registration.
  3. Check that the Integration column now shows Registered.

The Invoices page also tells you how many invoices failed to register, so you always know what needs attention.

Syncing a period

To bring Bagelog and the tax authority back in line, select Sync Integration on the Invoices page, choose a start and end date, and select Start Sync. This helps after a connection problem, or when an annulment stays pending.

Common causes

  • Connection: the integration shows Connected in Settings, Integrations, and automatic communication is active.
  • Credentials: the sub-user password has not changed in the AT portal. If it has, select Update Credentials.
  • Invoice series: you have an active series registered.
  • Client details: the client's tax ID and address are complete and correct.
  • Temporary outages: tax authority services are sometimes unavailable. Wait a little, then retry.

Cancelling a registered invoice

Once an invoice is registered, it cannot simply be cancelled. Select Request Annulment and give the reason (for example, an incorrect client VAT number). Bagelog sends the annulment to the tax authority, and the status shows Annulment Pending until it is confirmed.
